Running in an attempt to get fitter may seem like a ludicrous idea, but surprisingly I love it.
I joined a local running club with my cousin and after my first week in the beginners course I was hooked. I was officially a First Stepper and loving it.
On our final run as first steppers, we’d be completing 5k non-stop to graduate and progress as Second Steppers. When we crossed the finish line, we were given medals and congratulated on our efforts. It really felt amazing to know what we’d accomplished as beginners, and I was looking forward to see how I could progress.
Since graduating from First Steppers, I’m continuing to run with the running club to build myself up further.
From there I plan to go to track nights regularly and will be participating in ParkRuns soon… Wish me luck!
